Boron Nitride Crucible Application Range And Usage

Boron nitride ceramic crucible is used at 1800 degrees under vacuum and 2100 degrees under atmosphere protection. Nitrogen or argon atmosphere use the best, the longest life.

 

The boron nitride crucible is strong against thermal shock, 1500 degrees without cracking, 1000 degrees in the furnace insulation 20 minutes to take out the blowing wind cold continuously repeated hundreds of times without cracking. Precautions for use:

 

1 Air temperature can not exceed 1000 degrees, more than 1000 degrees boron nitride and oxygen contact surface will be oxidized flaking.

2 Boron nitride is easy to absorb moisture, the crucible can't be stored in wet area, can't be washed, can be directly erased with sandpaper or scrubbed with alcohol.

1. Ferrous metals: iron, copper, aluminum, nickel, magnesium, bismuth, zinc, etc., alloy FE-CO-NI-SI CO-ZR-NB

2. It does not react with water and acid at room temperature. Slowly hydrolyzed with water to form boric acid and ammonia.

3. Rare earths, nitrides

 

Unusable materials

1. Antimony trioxide, chromium heptaoxide, molybdenum trioxide, arsenic trioxide, titanium carbide and so on.

2. High lead glass glaze melting in the air at 800-950 degrees on the BN erosion, but no reaction under nitrogen or inert gas protection.

3. Boron phosphate in nitrogen at 1400 degrees erodes boron nitride, and reacts with hot concentrated or molten alkali and hot chlorine gas.
